Summit Engineering
Frankham Bros Limited trading as Summit Engineering was acquired in December 2020.
The business trades from a site in Glen Parva, Leicester, having operated from there for the past 20 years.
A quality producer of fabricated and machined parts for the likes of JCB and Caterpillar, Summit was a second generation business, which had been run successfully for the past 30 years by Mark and Sean Frankham, sons of the founder.
Of the decision to sell to Threesixty and the overall transaction process, Mark says:-
“Selling the family business was always going to be an emotional journey. However, from meeting Peter, Simon and John for the first time, I knew that they appreciated what that meant to the family, after which they did all they could to ensure that the process went as smoothly as possible. The price we agreed at the outset was the price that was paid, which helped us through an emotional process. As a result of their vast experience of the process they were able to streamline the legal process, handling issues pragmatically and quickly throughout, ensuring deadlines were met.
It was a pleasure to work with the whole team, evidenced by the fact that both Sean and I will be working within the team going forward.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to dispose of their business.”
